On Eagles’ Wings – January Newsletter
He has saved us and called us to a holy life – not because of
anything we have done but because of his own purpose and grace.
This grace was given us in Christ Jesus before the beginning of time.
2 Timothy 1:9
Feed My Starving Children
The Magnuson Christian School family enjoyed serving together, packing meals for children and families in Cuba. In the time we were there, 21,600 meals were packed, which will result in 59 kids being fed for a year!
We are so excited about the upcoming school year! Please enroll your students for the 2017-2018 school year and invite your friends! The enrollment process is completed through the Magnuson website at magnusonschool.org. Your prompt attention to this is greatly appreciated and necessary in order for us to make accurate plans for next year. Thank you in advance for enrolling your students now!
Vadnais Sports Center
The 4th through 7th grade students have enjoyed the opportunity to have Phy Ed classes at the Vadnais Sports Center! Mr. Reyes is taking full advantage of the exceptional amount of space available to him. Students are getting their exercise!
Our first Kindergarten Experience was very successful! Please tell your family, friends, and neighbors about the next free event on Thursday, January 26, 2017, from 9:30-11:30am. Children will explore the kindergarten classroom, go through the lunch line to get their snack, sing and play instruments with the music specialist, and do a large muscle activity with the Physical Education specialist. Parents will meet with teachers to talk about kindergarten readiness. Registration is available at magnusonschool.org.
MCS will have an Open House on Thursday, January 26, from 2:30-7:30 p.m. Please extend an invitation to anyone you know whose children could be blessed by the Faith, Family, and excellence at Magnuson Christian School! Your personal invitation is what is needed to help our school grow and thrive.
Students are enjoying their Enrichment Clusters! They are designing a tiny house, building elaborate Lego structures, reading, cooking, and crafting, learning about Haiti, or experimenting with snow and ice.
If we have any school closings, they will be announced on WCCO radio, TV, and their online site. If White Bear Lake, District 624, is closed, we will also be closed. We will also send an email to parents announcing our school closings.
Sunday, February 19, is Magnuson Sunday at First Lutheran Church. Students will sing at each worship service and serve as greeters, ushers, and scripture readers. As a thank you to the church for their support of Magnuson, we will serve fresh, warm cinnamon rolls to all who attend.
Families so thoroughly enjoyed our Family Worship and Math nights the past two years, we have added pizza and STEM! Save the date: Friday, March 3, 2017.
