Operation Christmas Child

73!  That is how many shoeboxes we packed today for Operation Christmas Child!  Because it was our first year, I was hoping to get enough donated items to fill 20 boxes.  Amazing!  Thank you to everyone who bought school supplies, hygiene products, toys, stuffed animals, books and Bibles.  Watch our FB page for some great photos that will be coming of the students packing boxes.  The 4th and 5th graders did a fantastic job of sorting the huge piles of items.  Our 2nd and 3rd graders put OCC shoeboxes together and cut labels as well as packed boxes.  Our K and 1st graders had so much fun choosing items to put in their boxes.  It felt like Christmas!  Thanks to our middle school students who checked boxes, added labels, hauled supplies and assisted younger shoebox packers.  We will be praying over these boxes and the children who will receive them in chapel tomorrow at 9:30 a.m.  Join us!

Magnuson Christian School 2017 Christmas Concert!

Dear MCS Families,

The time is drawing near for the Magnuson Christian School’s Christmas Concert! What an exciting time for our student musicians! You will get to experience the work that your children have accomplished since September by attending this concert.

Tuesday, December 12th, 2017 – 6:30 PM at Magnuson Christian School – Community of Grace Sanctuary

We ask that the students in K-3 meet in their classrooms and 4-8 report to the music room at 6:10 p.m.  *Students should wear dressy Christmas attire.

K-2- Please wear a hat! Nothing too warm though! (If you do not have a hat, Mrs. Kerkhoff has extras.)

3rd- You are the nativity! See your teacher or Mrs. Kerkhoff for the details.

4-8- Christmas attire can also include a fun ugly Christmas sweater if you would like.   😉

Parents, please use your best judgment! You know best!  🙂

The children have been working very hard these past few months, and it will be an exciting evening celebrating the birth of our Savior Jesus Christ. All students are expected to attend and should bring the whole family! If a conflict with the evening concert is anticipated, please notify me via email. Come and enjoy a night of worship and fun! Thank you in advance for your time and support. If you have any questions, please contact me, and I will be happy to speak with you! See you at the concert!
